Miracle blanket |
Swaddling is the age-old practice of wrapping a newborn baby in a large piece of cloth. The MIRACLE BLANKET , made in soft jersey cotton, is a contemporary swaddling blanket specially designed to reproduce a womblike feeling which calms and reassures young babies, helping them adapt to their new surroundings. As soon as baby is fussy or colicky, finds it difficult to fall asleep or cries for no apparent reason, swaddling him in the MIRACLE BLANKET is recommended.
MIRACLE BLANKET's unique design keeps baby's arms close to his sides preventing startle/Moro reflex - this is when uncontrolled arm movements wake baby up with a start and make him cry. It also exerts a light pressure on his tummy which helps him to relax and calms him almost immediately. Baby can still move his legs freely when swaddled in the MIRACLE BLANKET and if it is very warm, he can even be swaddled with his legs outside the blanket.
During the day when he is awake, baby should not be swaddled but encouraged to play with his hands.
MIRACLE BLANKET corresponds to a value TOG 1.5. The clothes the child must wear depend on the temperature of the bedroom (see table). MIRACLE BLANKET can be used from birth to around 14 weeks. |
